The Archbishop of Canterbury has called on all Anglicans to pray for the mission of the Church in the eight days leading up to Pentecost – May 15. Each one of us is called to live out our faith in word and action so that God’s kingdom of justice,
peace and love is seen on earth.
Each day during this week we are sending out ideas to help us all pray.
If you would like to receive them please subscribe to our e-Bulletin.
Below you will find some links to ideas to get you started.
We hope that there is something that helps you to pray ‘Thy Kingdom Come’.
During this week we invite you to join us is saying either Morning or Night Prayer – or both! These are very simple services and can be said in a quiet moment either at the beginning or ending of the day. If you are able, light a candle and remember God is with you.
You can download a copy of the services and readings here.
Helping our children to pray
The Diocese of Guildford has produced a really good resource to help parents and children pray together. We are inviting all the families that we have contact with in the Benefice to join us and be part of something huge as a family!
You can download the resource here – there is nothing complicated about it.
Have fun and join in by committing to a short time of prayer every day from
Sunday 8th – Sunday 15th May.
