A Celebration of Time and Space


Over 70 people gathered in St Kenelm’s Church on the evening of Sunday 15 July, after the closing matches in the World Cup and Wimbledon, to celebrate a local achievement of equal commitment and effort – the restoration and reordering of our village church. With hymns accompanied on the organ, voices amplified by the sound system, and service sheets illuminated by the lights, we took full advantage of all the new facilities. First glimpse of St Kenelm’s

After the upheaval and dust of the last six months of work inside St. Kenelm’s Church, the end is in sight of what has turned out to be a 30-year project to safeguard and enhance our beautiful building.  All that remains to be done is the final fix of our hidden kitchen; the connection of mains water and drainage, and finally, the installation of our new reredos depicting the life of St. Kenelm in a mosaic of Venetian glass.
