Benefice Harvest Service and Supper

5.45 for 6 pm St. Kenelm’s Church, Enstone
This year we are combining our Benefice Harvest Service with a Supper in the newly re-ordered Enstone Church. It will be similar to the very popular Maundy Thursday Supper and Communion. The service and supper will take place at tables set out in the centre of the Church. It will be a feast with hymns, a simple supper of cottage pie followed by apple pie or crumble, with prayers and Communion interspersed between courses.
We very much hope you will want to join us as we give thanks to God for the blessing of harvest. Booking is essential to help with catering. You can do so by clicking here or leaving a message on 01608 676572. Please do so before Sunday 23rd September.
As in previous years, we are going to celebrate the theme of Harvest and Creation throughout October by having at least one harvest hymn each week on the following weeks:- 7th October in Spelsbury; 14th October at Ascott and 28th October in Chadlington.

A Celebration of Time and Space
Over 70 people gathered in St Kenelm’s Church on the evening of Sunday 15 July, after the closing matches in the World Cup and Wimbledon, to celebrate a local achievement of equal commitment and effort – the restoration and reordering of our village church. With hymns accompanied on the organ, voices amplified by the sound system, and service sheets illuminated by the lights, we took full advantage of all the new facilities. A Service of Celebration
This Sunday, 15th July, we are holding a special service of celebration in St. Kenelm’s Church, Enstone at 7.00 pm to mark all that we have achieved as a community in safeguarding and enhancing our beautiful building.
Join us for this milestone service in the life of our Church. The service is non-eucharistic and will be followed by refreshments and a glass or two of fizz.
Please note: we have changed the time of the service to 7.00 pm to allow those who want to watch the World Cup to be able to join us!

Paul’s World
Paul’s epistles or letters are the earliest Christian writings we have and date from before the Gospels were written (AD 49-65).
This year, we will be reading from Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians for six weeks, from 3rd June to 8th July; and then from Ephesians for seven weeks, from 15th July to 26th August. We will return to his first letter to the Corinthians early next year. Continue reading Paul’s World
